[ARCHIVED] Transfer Station Limited Hours

From Koochiching County Environmental Services Department.

The Transfer Station will be open to the public from 1:00 to 4:00 today (Friday) and 9:00 to 1:00 Saturday. Some material will go inside and some will be put outside. Vehicles with small amounts will be directed to dump in roll-off containers outside the building until the traffic thins out. Larger loads of glass will be dumped outside as well.

Next week the Transfer Station will be open regular hours of 9:00 to 4:00 Mon-Fri and 9:00 to 1:00 on Saturday. We will continue with those hours until the weather warms up and we can finish the work that needs to be done. When the work resumes the Transfer Station will either be closed to the public for several days in a row or open only partial days. The public will be notified in advance of whatever we decide. The next closure will likely occur in March but it all depends on the weather. We hope to finish all the work before the spring rush.

Thank you
