Conveying Property

Information that may help you when selling or buying property:
  • There is a $1.65 deed tax on any conveyance of $500 or less; even if there is no money exchanged.
  • Deed tax is based on $3.30 per $1,000 of selling price.
  • Any sale more than $3,000 will need an eCRV (electronic Certificate of Real Estate Value).  You can find this form at the MN Dept of Revenue website, or click the site below.
  • There is also a recording fee per document.  Contact recorder for fee schedule.
  • You will need the full legal description for the property,  this information can be found in the recorder's office.
  • We cannot transfer ownership of any property that has delinquent taxes.
  • Mortgage rates are $2.30 per $1,000.
